One of the most challenging puzzles is defining, identifying and predicting patterns in weather. Meteorology is a complex, ever changing discipline; it can be chaotic on the surface, more orderly on some higher level, and still difficult to pinpoint and anticipate.

 

Our job as meteorologists is to be as specific and accurate as possible in both short and long term prognostications. Being able to not only see the big picture, but the nuances buried deep within the pattern on a smaller scale.

 

In fact, weather can be cyclical. Defining those recurring cycles has always been a challenge... a seemingly impossible task... until now.
